Faculty Code of Conduct

The Faculty Code of Conduct outlines the professional responsibilities, ethical standards, and expected behavior of all teaching staff. It ensures a positive, respectful, and academically sound environment that supports student success and institutional growth.


1. Professional Responsibility

  • Maintain high standards of teaching, research, and academic integrity.

  • Prepare and deliver lessons effectively and on time.

  • Update knowledge regularly through training, workshops, and research.

  • Evaluate students fairly, transparently, and without bias.


2. Ethical Behavior

  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times.

  • Avoid plagiarism, favoritism, unfair practices, and discrimination.

  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and internal information.


3. Respectful Conduct

  • Treat students, colleagues, and staff with dignity and respect.

  • Promote an inclusive environment free from harassment or discrimination.

  • Use respectful language and maintain appropriate faculty–student boundaries.


4. Institutional Commitment

  • Follow all rules of the institution.

  • Contribute to academic committees, and campus initiatives.

  • Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and development programs.

  • Support the vision and mission of the college.


5. Classroom Discipline

  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.

  • Start and end classes on time.

  • Discourage any form of misconduct, malpractice, or disorder.


6. Professional Relationships

  • Maintain healthy, respectful, and professional relationships with students.

  • Avoid any behavior that could be misunderstood as harassment or favoritism.

  • Support equal opportunity for all students.


7. Use of Institutional Resources

  • Use classrooms, labs, equipment, and digital tools responsibly.

  • Protect institutional property from damage or misuse.


8. Community & Social Responsibilities

  • Promote values of citizenship, social responsibility, and ethical conduct.

  • Participate in outreach, community service, and extension activities.


11. Accountability & Disciplinary Action

Any violation of the Faculty Code of Conduct may lead to:

  • Counseling or warning

  • Suspension of certain duties

  • Formal disciplinary action

  • Termination 

All actions will follow due process and fairness.
